Carrot, Orange & Ginger Soup

This recipe is perfect for winter, super easy to make and it will warm you right up! It's packed with vitamins and goodness, perfect to ward off any winter nasties lurking around.

Carrot, Orange and Ginger Soup

Serves: 4–5  




brown onion 

2 stalks celery 

1½ Tbsp finely grated ginger 

4 cloves minced garlic 

Chilli flakes 

Zest and juice of 2 oranges  

4 cups vegetable stock 


To Serve 

¼ cup cream 

¼ cup chopped parsley 

Chilli flakes (optional) 

Bread of choice (optional) 


  1. Peel and dice carrots and onion 2cm and roughly chop celery. Heat a large pot with a drizzle of olive oilAdd onion, celery, ginger, garlic, chilli flakes and orange zest to pot and cook for 5 minutes, until starting to colour. 

  1. Add diced carrots and stock, bring to a simmer and cook for 25-30 minutes, until carrots are soft. 

  1. Add orange juice and blend the soup using a stick blender or food processor until smooth and creamy. Season to taste. 

  1. To serve, divide soup between bowls and top with a drizzle of cream, parsley and chilli flakes (if using). Serve with your favourite bread on the side.
