Hot Cross Bun Pudding

The perfect way to use up any left over hot cross buns this Easter! This is a delicious spin on a classic dessert. It’s warming, a little bit naughty and totally delicious. Best enjoyed snuggled up on the couch!

Hot Cross Bun Pudding

  • 4 hot cross buns diced, 3cm
  • 1 cup cream
  • 1 cup milk
  • cup sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 60 g dark chocolate drops

To serve

  • ½ cup cream optional


  • Before you start
    Preheat oven to 180°C. Set aside a medium baking dish.
  • Prep pudding
    Prep hot cross buns. Place cream, milk, sugar, eggs and cinnamon in a large bowl and whisk to combine. Add diced buns and chocolate to bowl and toss to combine. Transfer to baking dish.
  • Cook pudding
    Bake pudding for about 25 minutes, until golden.
  • Serve
    Pudding with cream.
