Cooking a roast chicken has never been easier thanks to the handy air fryer! We’ve spiced things up by adding a delish chipotle sauce for flavour that packs a punch.
100g chipotle sauce
1.1kg whole chicken
- Before you start
Preheat air fryer to 180°C.
- Prep & cook chicken
Pat chicken dry and season with salt and pepper. Place on tray of air fryer and cook for an initial 45 minutes.
- After 45 minutes, remove chicken from air fryer and pour over half of the chipotle sauce. Spread evenly over chicken with a brush or a spoon and return to air fryer to cook for a further 10-15 minutes, until chicken has charred and is cooked through. The juices should run clear when a knife is inserted into the thickest part of the chicken (breast or thigh).
- To finish
Rest chicken for about 10 minutes before carving and serving.
