Salted Caramel Oats

Salted Caramel Oats

Servings 1
Cook Time 5 minutes

Ingredients

Oats

  • ½ cup rolled oats
  • ½ cup milk (coconut, almond or dairy)
  • ½ cup water
  • ½ tsp cinnamon

Caramel Sauce

  • 1 heaped Tbsp tahini
  • 1 tsp carob
  • Pinch of pink Himalayan salt
  • 1 Tbsp maple syrup

To serve

  • 1 tsp pistachios, chopped
  • cinnamon

Instructions

  • Add oats, milk and water to a pot and bring to the boil.  Once boiling, reduce the heat, cover and simmer until the grains are soft (approximately 5 minutes).
  • In a small bowl, mix together the sauce ingredients.  Thin with a little water if necessary and heat if you prefer.
  • When the oats are done, pour into a serving bowl and top with caramel sauce.  Add a sprinkle of pistachios and a dash of cinnamon to taste.
