Overnight Oats

Prep your breakfast the night before to make space for your morning stretches, workout or sunrise appreciation! Soaking the oats overnight results in a creamy, thick porridge consistency. Oats are a great source of protein, fibre and vitamins crucial to the metabolic process such as B1 and zinc.

Ingredients

½ cup quick oats
2 tsp cocoa/cacao powder (optional)
Pinch of salt
¾ cup milk
2 tsp maple syrup
1 tsp nut butter (e.g. peanut, almond, cashew)
1 Tbsp coconut thread
Sprinkle of berries

Method

1. Place oats, cocoa/cacao powder and salt in a jar or bowl and mix to combine.

2. Add milk, stir well to combine and cover with a lid or cling wrap. Leave to soak overnight, or at least 4 hours.

3. To serve, stir through maple syrup, peanut butter and top with coconut thread and fresh or frozen berries.
