ViBERi’s Organic Blackcurrant Powder is the perfect way to add flavour to a dish. Their blackcurrants are grown in South Canterbury & have a vitamin C & anti-oxidant punch (making them perfect for fighting off any pre-winter ills or chills!). As well as this special smoothie recipe, we’ve got some other fave ways to use the powder too. Stir into yoghurt, coat & toast nuts for a trail mix or add to a healthy baking mix. Enjoy!
1 tbsp ViBERi blackcurrant powder
½ frozen banana, peeled
½ cup frozen blueberries (or berry of your choice)
1 kiwifruit, peeled
1/3 cup milk (e.g. low fat dairy, almond, soy)
1 tbsp nut butter (e.g. almond, cashew, peanut) (optional)
2–3 ice cubes
3 tbsp unsweetened yoghurt
½ tsp ViBERi blackcurrant powder (optional)
4–5 thin slices of kiwifruit, banana or a sprinkle of fresh berries
1 tsp coconut chips
1 tsp chia seeds
1 tsp goji berries
1. Add all smoothie bowl ingredients to a blender and blitz until a thick and smooth consistency.
2. Pour into a deep bowl and sprinkle remaining blackcurrant powder over top. Arrange fruit slices, coconut chips, chia seeds and goji berries on top.
