CHAI TEA LATTÉ

Cold weather calls for a comforting cuppa to warm you from the inside out. Our favourite for this autumn is our aromatic chai tea latte! Easy to make and the perfect treat for two, we hope you indulge and enjoy it on a cool autumn morning or cosy night in.

Latté

¾ teaspoon cinnamon

½ teaspoon ground ginger

1/8 teaspoon ground cloves

1/8 teaspoon cardamom

1 cup milk of your choice

1 black tea bag

2 cups milk of your choice

3 teaspoons maple syrup

 

To serve

Whipped cream (optional)

Cinnamon

 

1. Add spices and first measure of milk to a small pot and bring to a gentle simmer. Reduce heat to low, add tea bag and allow to steep for about 10 minutes. Drain the spices through a fine sieve, remove tea bag and return to pot.

2 .Add second measure of milk and maple syrup and return to heat for 2-3 minutes until warmed through.

To serve, pour into mugs, dollop with a spoonful of whipped cream and top with a pinch of cinnamon.
