What's the fuss about Living Microgreens?
Microgreens are young vegetable greens that are bigger than sprouts, but smaller than baby salad leaves. Used often in fine dining, microgreens can provide a variety of complex flavours and textures. Essentially, they're mini versions of full grown vegetables that pack a punch when it comes to flavour!
How should you use them?
We think they're great garnishes for any meal! Upcoming recipes include the use of baby coriander in a Japanese-inspired dish and cinnamon basil in a Thai-inspired dish - however, the options are endless.
How should you store them?
Microgreens will continue to grow in your kitchen for 5-7 days once you've brought them home. Simply water them from the bottom by placing a tray underneath and flooding the tray.
Their lifespan can vary depending on the type of microgreen. When included in a My Food Bag delivery, specific storage instructions will accompany your microgreen every time (just look for the instructions on the punnet itself).
Is the punnet recyclable?
Yes, just pop the punnet in with your normal recycling!
